It’s all about me…

Is it only when we are in our cars or is everyone becoming more self-centered?  I see people doing things while behind the protective facade of a vehicle windshield that they would not do if they were standing face-to-face with another human being.  I love my car, or truck, as the case may be, but why do people act like such idiots in them?  I see people racing up merge lanes and cutting people off.  To me, that is the same as butting in line.  If they were standing in line at the bank, I bet none of them would push their way to the front, but when protected by their windshield, they barge through risking others lives just so they can be first and not be held up by lines.  Are they really in that big of a hurry or do they just want to be first, since it is all about them?
