The Man From Aldersgate with BJ Johnston

 

Last night, I was working my Sound and Light duties at Lakeside Presbyterian Church as they hosted a one man dramatization of the life of John Wesley.  “The Man from Aldersgate” is written from letters and other documentation of the life and times of John Wesley.  BJ Johnston brings John Wesley to life in a very interesting and enjoyable drama that involves humor, history, and the religous progression of John Wesley.  As Mr. Johnston’s website states:

John Wesley, born in 1703, probably did more to promote holiness than any other figure in English history. You will experience the life and times of the man who rode over 250,000 miles on horseback to bring spiritual renewal to the English-speaking world. THE MAN FROM ALDERSGATE encourages spiritual renewal and also presents an excellent opportunity to help reach your community for Christ.

I greatly enjoyed the drama and the education of the experience.  Go to the website and find a time to attend or better yet, you can suggest a new venue and invite John Wesley to visit you!
