Pepsi Pops 2008

It is almost time for one of the coolest on-water events I have attended.  The 2008 Pepsi Pops concert is scheduled for May 9, 2008 at Old Trace Park on the Ross Barnett Reservoir.  Pack a picnic basket or and attend on land or pack the boat and attend on water.  Either way, it is a great time.  (I prefer to attend on water!)  I lost count of how many boats were rafted up together last year.  The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra picks a theme each year for the music and it is always good.  On shore there are vendors, contest, a children’s play area and more.  On the water there are grills going and the party keeps rocking until the fireworks show after the concert.  There is something different about watching fireworks on the water with the reflections shooting across the waves.
